Service & Civic Engagement

.In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the University Community Service Center has developed and sponsored a set of opportunities to bring campus and community together for a variety of events.

King Day of Service 2025

The 7th Annual King Day of Service brings together residents, non-profits, and institutions to support local efforts in the community. The service day, which is convened by Organic Oneness and co-created by the UCSC in partnership with community organizations across Bronzeville, Englewood, and beyond, will focus on beautification and outreach projects at local schools and other community sites. UChicago students, faculty, and staff can learn more and sign up below.

Monday, January 20, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Kick-off at King High School, 4445 S. Drexel Ave.
Transportation available from the Hyde Park Campus
